Fear of Heights Demo
An immersive VR simulation that makes acrophobia tangible through multisensory feedback.
The Fear of Heights Demo simulates the sensation of acrophobia in an intense, realistic virtual environment. It works not only visually but through multiple senses: vibrations from bass shakers, wind from fans, and a physical platform interface enhance the experience. The demo demonstrates how VR hardware, environmental stimuli, and psychological simulation can be combined into a tangible training and research application.
Developed at the Institute for Visual Computing (IVC) at Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences. Our co-founders Tobias Bromberg and David Bernhardt were involved as research assistants.
